The 2008 TNT Annual Conference

in Irving is now history. Many thanks to those who made it so much fun and a great learning experience. We will have photos up as soon as we dig out from under all the wrap-up, so come back and visit.

The 2009 TNT Annual Conference and Texas AACTFEST

will take place in Fort Worth, March 18 - 21, 2009, with performances at the William E. Scott Theatre. Put the date on your calendar NOW and plan to be part of a stellar event.

The Quad I Festival:
Date and place to be determined.
The Quad II Festival:
January 30 & 31, 2009 at the Courtyard Theatre in Plano.
The Quad III Festival:
February 13 & 14, 2009 at the Kathleen Cailloux Theatre in Kerrville.
The Quad IV Festival:
January 16 & 17, 2009 at Lamar State University in Port Arthur, hosted by the Port Arthur Little Theatre.

For information about the rules for AACTFest '09, please read the AACT Festival Handbook, which can be downloaded from the
AACT Web Site.

- Applications for the 2009 Quad Festivals will be available in August. Deadline for submission will be October 1, 2008. Inclusion is on a first come, first served basis. Maximum is 8 companies, unless additional one is approved by host at their discretion.

- Cost to enter at the Quad Level is $50 (subject to revision as per TNT budget approval in July), the organization must be a member of TNT (minimum level currently $60) and must pay an entry fee to AACT equal to the minimum level of AACT membership, which is currently $55.

- Advancement costs
If a theatre advances to Texas State level, there is an additional $50 entry fee due. If a theatre advances to Regional, the organization must become a full member of AACT at the appropriate membership level, which is based on annual budget.

- Registration
All company and cast members must be registered for the Quad festival and, if advancing, the State Festival, which is a separate, per person fee, generally around $15-20 for Quad, $85 to $125 for State - again subject to budget approval in July.

- The Bill and Enid Holm Advancement Awards:
Companies advancing from Quad to State will receive a voucher from TNT in the amount of $250 which can be used toward the state application fee and company registrations at the State level. The two companies advancing to the Regional Level receive a cash (check) award from in the amount of $1000 each to be used Region IV Festival expenses. A Texas company advancing from Regional to National receives an award of $3,000 (if two Texas theatres advance the award may have to be split).

In addition, National AACTFest companies will receive an award of $3,000 from the AACT Endowment and $650 from the National Host.


The Thirteenth Annual TNT Youth Conference

June 11 - 15, 2008 in Denton

The 2008 TNT Youth Conference will feature 15 wonderful youth companies. Registration for those not performing with a company is now open. Please fill out the following form. It can be filled out and submitted online; or, if you have problems with that, you may print it out and mail it to TNT. Please do not assume that we have received it if submitted online. If you have not heard from us within 24 hours of submission, please call us at 817-731-2238. Never assume that we have received your form. If you do not get a confirmation e-mail from the TNT office within 24 to 48 hours of your submission, please call the TNT office at 817-731-2238.

For those who are coming as part of a performing company, your registration should go through your company director, to be submitted with the Excel file provided to them. Remember - all company directors, cast and crew members MUST be registered for the conference. Registration for the 2008 Youth Conference is $60 per person.
